SOCIAL GRADE NETBALL 2006
Social grade is starting up again! We
have enough players for two teams but would like to make up at least two more teams for Social netball. This year, the format is to run the games on a fortnightly basis, playing similarly to Future Ferns netball where rotations must be met. This is to keep the emphasis on fun and social, friendly netball! This grade is catering for those players who have not passed a ball around on court for a few years to those who are more than capable but wish to play with the higher committment of weekly netball. GOLDEN OLDIES 2004
Golden Oldies was introduced to the Centre in 2004 to cater for an overwhelming number of women (and men) who wanted to get out there and have some fun exercise while playing a sport they enjoyed. Past players and new players joined forces to create havoc, laughter and best of all FUN NETBALL! 4 teams were created and games were played on a fortnightly basis during the last round of play at 4pm. During this time, players were often seen hugging and laughing with each other. The tides were turned on the spectators (often the children of Golden Oldies players) who couldn't stand the laughter and giggles and the pure ' light hearted attitude' of it all, often shouting out "Stop laughing Mum and catch the ball".
